Welcome to Henki Bespoke Furniture Makers & Henki Bespoke Renovations, a family run firm of highly skilled cabinet makers based in North Yorkshire, producing handmade kitchens & bespoke solid hardwood furniture custom built to your exact requirements. Whether you prefer your furniture to have a modern, contemporary twist, or more traditional styling, because all of our pieces are designed specially for you and are built to order, we can accommodate any commission, and cater for all tastes.

We undertake commissions for both private and commercial clients, including architects and interior designers, producing high quality furniture for any room.
From individual freestanding furniture, dining tables & chairs to a fully fitted kitchen, bedroom, bathroom or study, no job is too big or too small, and each will be made with the same care and attention.

Our Services
Although we are based in North Yorkshire, and a lot of our work is in the North East and North West of England, we do offer a nationwide service (and occasionally international). Our furniture designer is experienced in not only creating beautiful pieces that will last you a lifetime and beyond, but also in ensuring that all furniture, large or small, fitted or freestanding, is practical and fulfills your requirements exactly.

We do offer a free consultation service for all commissions, where our designer can advise you on design, materials and finishes. Larger commissions such as kitchens, bedroom suites, fitted studies, usually require a home visit by our designer, although we can also work from architect’s plans if necessary.

Henki offers a complete project management service in the local area for large commissions such as kitchens, where we can oversee the entire project, and provide all of the necessary trades, including plumbers, electricians, builders, decorators etc.

If you would prefer, we can also liaise with your interior designer, architect or project manager.

One of our specialist areas is in creating tailor made solutions for tricky, awkward spaces, and optimizing the use of space in small rooms, tight corners or in areas that you may not think it possible to use. If your walls aren’t straight, your house has an unusual layout, or maybe you just need a very specialized piece of furniture, we are the people for you!
About Us
Henki Bespoke Cabinet Makers was founded in 1998 by proprietor, designer and cabinet maker Niall Hawkridge. After attaining a City & Guilds in Cabinet Making & Restoration from the Leeds college of Art & Design in 1993, Niall went on to work for a local cabinet making firm, where he refined his skills, and worked his way up to supervisor. Having always had a strong desire to design and build beautiful pieces of furniture out of the highest quality materials that would be appreciated for many generations, Niall then decided to start his own business, and from small beginnings, our team of cabinet makers has grown, and we now have an excellent reputation, and a large proportion of our work comes from returning customers and recommendations, as well as architects and interior designers.

Our workshops are situated at Leeming Bar Industrial Estate, where we are well situated for work throughout Yorkshire, including the Harrogate, Leeds, York, Helmsley, Richmond and Darlington areas.
