About The Business

Henki Furniture by Design was founded in 1998 by proprietor, designer and cabinet maker Niall Hawkridge. After attaining a City & Guilds in Cabinet Making & Restoration from the Leeds college of Art & Design in 1993, Niall went on to work for a local cabinet making firm, where he refined his skills, and worked his way up to supervisor. Having always had a strong desire to design and build beautiful pieces of furniture out of the highest quality materials that would be appreciated for many generations, Niall then decided to start his own business, and from small beginnings, our team of cabinet makers has grown, and we now have an excellent reputation, and a large proportion of our work comes from returning customers and recommendations, as well as architects and interior designers.

Our workshops and showroom are both situated in a picturesque countryside location just outside the village of Grewelthorpe, near Ripon, where we are well situated for work throughout Yorkshire, including the Harrogate, Leeds, York, Helmsley, Richmond and Darlington areas.
